So here is this week’s Hardly Working we shot with some of the guys from Jackass. As my sister said, this video marks the pinnacle of what I could have ever wanted when I was 15. In real life though, this shoot was a little disappointing. You can get a good sense of how things were by watching the very end of the video, and multiplying it by a lot.
Jake and Amir was on Valleywag and BuzzFeed yesterday, which is awesome. The not so awesome part is that they didn’t necessarily have their facts straight.
Amir and I are NOT going to be hosting our own MTV show. But the fact that BuzzFeed said, “Jake and Amir have shown they’ve got what it takes to make funny videos. Let’s hope MTV doesn’t muck it all up.” is pretty cool.
So yeah, that’s it. For now we’ll keep making as many videos as we can for Jake and Amir dot com.
I love it when real life becomes more awesome than the movies. And when I started reading about the US potentially shooting an old spy satellite with a missile, I definitely got my hopes up. Yesterday it actually happened.
Just to give you a taste, “The US has successfully struck a disabled spy satellite with a missile fired from a warship…”
Check out the article, there’s also RUSSIAN SUSPICION! OMG.
When I was in high school Jeff Rosenberg (now Rosie) opened up 8 packets of strawberry jam and chugged them just to impress me. His hair has gotten longer since then, not much else about him has changed.
While I’m on the subject of Rosie, I should mention he wrote an awesome post Valentine’s Day article for CH.
Hey remember like a week ago when I thought of a shirt? Well it’s officially shipping now, and the cool people over at Busted Tees let me model it! In case you’re curious, we did this photoshoot in the middle of a snow storm.
If you weren’t curious, whatever.
Is what I wanted our intern Susannah to call her new blog. You should probably subscribe to this one, Susannah is like a funny, blonde version of Daria.
Remember Daria?
If you are a reader of my friend Sarah’s blog you may already know that I was spending a good chunk of time yesterday playing songs I loved in the 90’s. This one is particularly great.
I want to be in a real life situation where I need to use a torch.
My friend Andrew Pile is the director of Development at Vimeo. This post from his blog is awesome, it just made my morning. If you have a second, check it out. If not, come back later- I promise it’s worth it.
Incidentally, this is not the first time Pile has inspired me.
One thing I love to do on the subway is look over in someone’s general direction until they are convinced I’m looking at them. Then, when they turn to me they see that I’m, in fact, staring intently at something that’s right behind or next to them. That’s when I let my eyes meet theirs. Now they think I caught them staring at me. It’s almost always awesome.
